Happy Birthday Jazz

Our dog Jazz turned 8 years old today. She enjoyed a nice big bone as a present from Rylee and she wanted to play all day long. We went for a nice long walk in the morning and then played in our backyard the rest of the afternoon. It was really nice here in Idaho today. We actually got a sunburned from being outside all day long!

1 Month Old

Rylee Braden Jensen is one month today. Time has flown by and can't believe she is already one month. She has been a great baby besides some stomach problems (acid reflux). We found that Baby Bliss Gripe Water works magic on babies and Rylee loves that stuff and makes her stomach and gas feel a lot better. She weighs 8 pounds 15 ounces and is growing growing growing. She is still in her newborn clothes but we expect that she is grow out of those pretty soon. She loves to go for walks in her stroller and today I took but Jazz and Rylee out and that was an adventure. Jazz did a great job and we even got a short jog in and that felt great.

Favorite Aunt Meghan

We were so lucky to have my cousin Meghan come to Pocatello and visit us for the three day weekend. It meant so much to us and she loved on Rylee. Thank you so much Meghan for taking time out of your schedule to come and visit. It truly meant a lot to us! We love you so much and can't wait to see you in July!

Tummy Time -- 3 Weeks Old

Rylee loves to be on her tummy so I decided that it is time to start tummy time even though it is only for 5 minutes. We also tried the baby wrap with her and that is a lifesaver. I can actually do things around the house without holding her. We are in the transition of being a family of 3. Unfortunately, we had to say good bye to Grandma Margaret yesterday but we will be seeing her in a month. We already miss her and I miss the extra hand with Rylee.

Rylee is heading to her first birthday party today. Tucker (our family friend) turns 3 today and we thought that we needed to take some more pictures of our family of 3. We are having a wonderful time adjusting to her schedule. She is getting a lot better about sleeping during the night and staying awake during the day. It is only a matter of time hopefully!

Boppy Time

2 Weeks Old

Rylee is now officially two weeks old today. We have her two week appointment tomorrow so we will weight her then and have another update for everyone.

She has been a perfect baby. She loves to have her back rubbed and loves to cuddle up close to anyone. I thought I would never have our baby sleep in our bed but when she fuses at night we bring her in with us and then sleeps great. When Brian leaves for work I also bring her in and we sleep until 8 or so. I have found a new love for naps. I have to admit that I was never a napper but now I love them. Rylee and I like to sleep in the afternoon but she likes it when she is lying on me and that is what our afternoons are fulfilled with. She is sleeping anywhere for 2 to 4 hours at a time and likes to be awake from 3PM to 7PM and from 3AM to 5AM. Here are a few pictures! Enjoy!

Rylee's Two Weeks Old

Happy Mother's Day

We have had a great weekend here in Idaho! On Saturday we took Rylee and we went to the Farmer's Market and enjoyed some sun and then we had a BBQ with our friends Jaime and Tucker. We tried to go to Tucker's soccer game but Rylee wanted to eat instead so Brian and his mom stayed and watched him play. On Sunday we went for a nice long walk. Trust me I needed to get out of the house. We also gave Rylee a nice bath and she actually enjoyed it and did not cry too much. It felt great taking Rylee in her stroller and going at a nice pace. We hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!

Our Sweet Ry

Here are some more pictures of Baby Rylee. She is doing great and I am actually doing a lot better. I went to the mall today to walk around and I didn't even get light headed so I am off in the right direction. We decided to bottle feed her because while I was in the hospital I was not able to breast feed and I got an bacteria infection. She loves her bottles and her pacifiers so much!

1 Week Old

Rylee is now officially one week old today. She is the perfect baby and is sleeping great. She usually eats every 2 to 3 hours. We have had a whirlwind of events this last week. I was rushed to the ER and soon to find out the some of my placenta was still inside of me and after a quick DNC process everything is out and now I am doing great. I little tired from the amount of blood I loss but overall things are great.
